Judy Arsenault is a Nova Scotia visual artist known for her encaustic and acrylic paintings depicting abstract interpretations of her rural landscape. The powerful Fundy tides, the change of the seasons and the cycles and rhythms of the land provide rich source material for her work. The recipient of a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design University in 1980, Judy paints from her home studio in Maitland, Hants County.
Susan Sweet is a Hants County based painter, originally from Martock, now living and working in Maitland. She graduated in 1990 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University with a Bachelor of Fine Art In Fine Arts, Minor In Art History. Susan works in acrylic, soft pastel and oil. Much of her work reflects her connections and interest with rural life and her youth spent living on a farm and growing up with horses. Her subject matter focuses on renderings of livestock and domesticated animals, with occasional large abstracted still life and more recently the Nova Scotian landscape.
