As part of the "Road to 2017" celebrations and the 100th anniversary of Women's Right to Vote in Canada, Grand-Pré National Historic Site will host a public talk on Canada’s “Famous Five” suffragettes and their beliefs and struggles. We will explore their efforts and those of a number of extraordinary Acadian women, such as Jeanne Dugas, also designated as a person of national historic significance this year.
