What makes this one Creepy? There will be a New Moon that night, meaning that the moon will be barely visible - if at all. This makes for an extra dark hike through some very historically-rich land, and with Halloween just around the corner... well, there's just a different vibe in the woods. Come see for yourself!
Our night walks are slow moving group walks that allow you to experience the trail in a whole new way. Let each step bring you into the present moment. If you've joined us already, come again! This particular walk on October 30th carries an additional psychological element of walking among centuries of Mi'kmaw and Acadian history on the eve of Halloween; their tragic stories of war and expulsion can leave an unsettling feeling as we pass through what was once their land.
Meet at 7:00pm at Noggins cornfield parking lot in Greenwich - the parking lot closest to the New Minas side.
If you would like, you can join us after the hike at The Library Pub for a social. Our walks are a great way to meet new friends, and Night Walk participants get $2.00 off a draft! :)
All welcome!
What to bring:
- Warm clothes / layers
- Blanket or towel to sit on (you won't be carrying them for the walk, and we generally have extra).
- $10 cash
- Good waking shoes
