Our guest Speaker, Tamara Mitchell is the parent of a young man with cerebral palsy who lives with his parents in Cole Harbour. Tamara has been successful in acquiring a forgiveable loan to renovate her basement into an apartment where her son can continue to live and work on independent living skills.. At our meeting Tamara will share insights on this subject with anyone who is looking for a similar solution for a currently dependent adult for whom there are few resources in the community.
