The Portal Youth Outreach Centre in Kentville is putting on an awareness and fundraising event called the Shelter Project.
This involves a makeshift shelter being constructed at 437 Main Street from November 17th-November 19th.
The public is invited to come out and experience what it’s like for homeless youth this time of year by taking a walk through, seeking more information, or taking a shift staying in the shelter.
Donations to the Portal's Emergency Fund for Youth will be accepted.
