Transition Reading Group!

As a way of deepening and strengthening our connections to each other and to the topics of Transition, we are offering a facilitated reading group, where we can share ideas, thoughts and questions about books that support the principles and values of Transition.

Our first book will be Charles Eisenstein's *The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible*, where he delves into topics such as climate, scarcity, hate, hope and urgency.

From the publisher: "In a time of mounting chaos and crumbling institutions, how can we as individuals do anything to make the world a better place? This inspirational and thought-provoking book serves as an empowering antidote to the cynicism, frustration, paralysis, and overwhelm so many of us are feeling, replacing it with a grounding reminder of what's true: We are all connected, all living in mutual symbiosis, and the small, personal choices we make as individuals are far more effective and transformational than most of us imagine."

We will meet three times to share thoughts about the book, once in April, May and June. For the first gathering, we will look at chapters 1 - 13 (up to and including the chapter called "Reality").

The book is available in softcover from bookstores (and the Halifax library system has one), as an ebook, or chapter by chapter (for no cost under a Creative Commons license) from the author's website: http://charleseisenstein.net/project/the-more-beautiful-world-our-hearts-know-is-possible/

We hope you can join us!
