Valley Cheer Athletics is a local competitive cheerleading club that provides cheer and gymnastics instruction to youth in the valley area, from Canning to Kingston. The club was formed in 2008, starting out with just 50 members, and has since grown to over 150 members.
Cheerleading has offered something new to local youth (young girls in particular) who are not involved in other, more traditional, organized sports. We have had over 400 local youth (of which 95% have been female) from Hantsport to Middleton come through our program in the past 8 years. Cheerleading offers the values of traditional sports, but targets youth who are interested in performance as well. Cheerleading and gymnastics, unlike dance where solos and duos dominate, focuses on the team working together to achieve a common goal, that being the performance of a flawless routine that incorporates stunts, dance, tumbling, gymnastics, and therefore they need to be fit, strong, athletic, learn to work as a team, have confidence and respect. VCA fosters the growth and development of these youth while teaching them lessons in commitment, dedication, teamwork, and responsibility that they will carry with them in life well beyond the realm of cheerleading.
Valley Cheer Athletics is pleased to be offering our first ever Dinner Theatre Fundraiser and it is sure to be hit! Please welcome us and help raise money for some recent renovations and other incurred expenses of the 2017 season.
Melissa Vidito and her cast are pleased to present Head Over Heels! The big day has finally arrived for sweethearts Charlie and Jessica. Everything would be perfect if it weren’t for their family, friends and a slew of disastrous twists of fate. Join us to find out if they make it through to the last dance and prove the only way to fall in love is…head over heels!
The dinner will consist of a turkey dinner with all the fixings, coffee/tea/juice, and dessert. Dress is semi-formal.
