Dr. Avery Vaughan was a well known and loved citizen of Windsor where he lived until his death in 2014. His formative years in Windsor instilled in him a lifelong love for his community and after studying medicine at Dalhousie he returned home to practice as a surgeon. He also began to teach himself to paint. Over the next 40 years, he inspired hundreds as an artist and a teacher of painting. Avery produced more than 300 paintings over his life and generously donated many to charities to raise much needed funds. But during all that time he never offered any for sale.
This collection of paintings by Avery Vaughan is the first to be displayed for the public to both see and to purchase.
