Authors@Acadia is honoured to present two Mi’kmaw Storytelling session taking place in classes that are open to the public. The first session runs from noon to 1:15 in the Acadia Room (top floor) of the KCI Environmental Centre at Acadia University. The second session runs from 1:30-3 pm in the classroom on the bottom floor.
The focus of Artist, Carver and Educator Gerald Gloade's
work is sharing the culture and heritage of "Mi'kma'ki", Land of the Mi'kmaq, and the long-standing cultural legacy of the Mi'kmaq people. As an artist and Mi'kmaw storyteller, Gerald guides the development of educational programs and visitor experiences for the Mi'kmawey Debert Cultural Centre.
