Halifax's Ian Sherwood recently won a 2017 Robert Merritt for Outstanding Original Score for the play “Tompkinsville” and was named Best Male Artist of the Year by the 2012 International Acoustic Music Awards. Bob Mersereau of CBC Radio, Fredericton described him as “… a natural performer who entertains as much with his wit and stories as with his songs.”
Ryan Roberts of Kentville is a multiple Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Awards "Songwriter of the Year" winner. He toured with Nashville-based "The Special Consensus" for two years. His songs have been recorded by Rose Cousins, Kevin Davison and The Spinney Brothers.
Wolfville's Mike Aubé was a semi-finalist in the "Mike Pinder's Song Wars" competition and recently toured the Caribbean as a soloist on Carnival Cruise Lines. Canadian Musician Magazine called his music “playful and catchy folk…clearly Canadian”. He has shared the stage with some best in Atlantic Canada, including Dave Gunning, Rose Cousins and Steve Poltz.
