Jazz vocalist and theatre artist Karen Myatt has appeared on stages in New York, Mexico, and throughout Canada. Influenced from an early age by the great composers and musicians of the Golden Era, she has her grandmother Madeline Joudrey to thank for her knowledge and love of the American Songbook. In turn, this led to her discovery and adoration of international music, especially French and German cabaret. In NYC, Karen was named one of Broadway’s Rising Stars and performed in the Broadway Summer Series at the Town Hall under the direction of Tony-Nominated Emily Skinner. She has written and performed cabaret in Mexico, New York, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax and is a co-founder of Halifax's Wild Abandon Productions.
