Paddle Thru the Arches at Paddy's Island

This is an all levels stand up paddle boarding experience (no experience on paddle boards necessary), for ages 13 & up. Everyone must be able to swim, be reasonably healthy and fit (able to paddle for 2hrs and be comfortable on the open water. You will be required to sign a waiver. If you're wondering about your ability, please ask first!
All profits from our trips help support Girls on Boards, the non-profit offering body positive SUP trips for teens - so good for you, not only do you get to go out and enjoy this exclusive Annapolis Valley paddling experiences, you're also helping out!
You have to time the tides just right to be able to paddle through these arches. Paddy's Island, Annapolis Valley just 15 mins from Wolfville and on this adventure we'll set you up on a board, teach you the basics of paddling, guide you on the gentle Minas Basin right at the height of the tide for a 1km paddle from the boat launch over to the arches, we'll take our time paddling through each of the arches and along the coastline before following the wind and tides back to shore. Enjoy the stellar views of Cape Blomidon, the red earthen cliffs, the seabirds and blue sky's. The sun, tide, wind, and waves all need to play nice for this 2hr adventure so we may have to reschedule if the weather doesn't go as planned, but we'll definitely get you out there!

The ocean is cool, so wear clothing you can get wet in (no cotton) or a wet suit and water shoes. Bring an extra set of clothes to change into after you're done. We'll provide the boards, PFD's and a Paddle Canada certified guide - all you need to bring is snacks/sunscreen, a waterproof camera carrier (around your neck strap is great) or a GoPro attached to you (we won't be diving for lost camera's!) and some salty smiles.
