In 1986 Theresa left Bear River First nation to attend Dalhousie University, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts. Over the years, she has been employed with Mi’kmaq organizations in a wide range of programs. She was also an Aboriginal Educator and Advisor for many years and is presently a Mi'kmaq Aboriginal Student Support Worker in three Halifax schools. Along with her book L'nu'k, she is the author of the children’s story book entitled, The Sharing Circle. Her third children's book, "The Gathering", will be out this Fall. Theresa is a wife, mother of three and grandmother of four.
