The Future of Energy in Digby
Thursday October 11, 2018  6:30pm - 8:30pm (2 Hours)
Workshop / Class

 tthibodeau@municipality.digby.ns.ca

The Municipality of Digby is supporting Pollution Probe, a national environmental charity, in offering a public workshop on how to take an active role in shaping the future of energy in Digby. The workshop will use a real proposed project in Digby, the energy storage plant proposal by Sigma Energy Storage Inc., to illustrate techniques.
The workshop is part of the Energy Exchange Energy Ambassadors Program which supports communities that are in the early stages of developing energy infrastructure. The program has been developed to help residents become prepared to join the conversation about future energy infrastructure development.
The workshop is intended to provide information on:
• How the energy system works, with a specific focus on local energy needs.
• How the regulatory system applies to proposed projects.
• How to source and review credible energy-related information.

This workshop will also include opportunities to raise questions and concerns about the development of an energy storage plant and other renewable energy infrastructure. The event is free of charge and anyone may attend. Registration is encouraged but not required; please visit Eventbrite.ca and search The Future of Energy in Digby.
