INTRO SWING - LINDYHOP LEVEL 1
2-week course: March 3 and 10 (plus 15 minutes to practice)
Lindy hop is a wonderful, joyful dance for all ages! This dance comes to us from the ballrooms of Harlem in the late 1920s, 30s and onward.
Join us and teachers from DalKIng Swing Dance society for an introduction to swing dancing with the basics of Lindy Hop. This is a 2-week class where you will be introduced to lindy hop fundamentals--no partner required! Gain some confidence and rhythm in your dancing. We will cover basic 6-count and 8-count moves, including tuck turns, promenades, send outs, and swing outs.
Unless you have prior swing dance experience, this course is a prerequisite for the 6-week course starting the following week (March 17, 24, 31, April 7, 14, and 21).
