A warm and fuzzy feeling for supporting our community theatre.
Bend the River formed in 2008 and have established themselves for their live performances, provocative arrangements and overall seventies vibe. They have been described by critics as "cinematic" and "reminiscent of The Band." 2014's So Long Joan Fontaine yielded a Music Nova Scotia nomination for "Americana / Folk Recording of the Year" as well as rave national reviews and airplay. An annual series of performances, "Harvest Jams" backing and performing with over 50 of Halifax's top songwriters has established Bend the River as one of the East Coast's most respected groups.
Through the Long Night recorded at New Scotland Yard and marking their first collaboration with Joel Plaskett has brought some new magic and Bend the River have evolved a sound and vibe that promises to capture the imagination of a wider audience.
