Evergreen Home for Special Care is hosting a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Society of NS. "Walk for Memories" takes place each year as a challenge among all Long Term Care Facilities in the province to see who can raise the most donations for Alzheimer's.
Evergreen Home for Special Care has won 1st place in this challenge two years in a row raising over $14,000 in donations. We will be taking part in this challenge again this year and will try to keep our 1st Place title.
We start with a walk through our beautiful gardens to read memories of our residents that will be posted along our cobblestone walkways. Following the walk will be a BBQ for a free will offering and live entertainment. There will be a bake sale as well as we will be adding some carnival activities this year, such as face painting, fish pond, dump tank, etc.
This event will take place RAIN or SHINE!!!
We invite everyone to attend this worthwhile event and enjoy some good food, good entertainment and have some fun.
