Elder Abuse Awareness and Prevention
Tuesday June 25, 2019  11am - 12pm (1 Hour)
Lecture / Seminar Wheelchair Accessible

Everyone is welcome to join us for this thought provoking presentation that explores how our thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs in many societal myths about aging can impact the decisions, relationships, and well being of older adults. This presentation will share examples of how everyday situations can turn from the best of intentions (and sometimes not) to falling off the rails. Participants will have the opportunity to think about making important decisions around banking, financial decisions, powers of attorney, property decisions, naming substitute decision makers, and the steps required to help keep these matters on track.

“Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.” ~ Alan Lakein

This presentation is open to the public, free of charge, and no registration is required. Please come join us for the presentation and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with refreshments.

This presentation is hosted by the Annapolis RCMP Seniors Safety Program through the support of the Provincial Seniors Safety Grant from the Departments of Seniors and Justice.
