"Trumpeter & vocalist Paul St-Amand returns to Winegrunt with a soulful mix of jazz, soul, and pop music. Paul has earned raves for his lyrical trumpet sound and expressive singing voice. He's a member of the popular Latin ensemble Son Latino, and has performed with many of Halifax's leading jazz, funk, and soul musicians. With his band Blue Spirits, Paul received a 2017 Music NS nomination for Jazz Recording of the Year.
The trio for this show features guitarist Ross Avey and bassist Casey Thompson. It's a reunion of sorts; Paul, Ross, and Casey were longtime members of the ECMA-nominated funk band Unidentified Funk Object."
