Gaspereau Press are holding their 20th annual Wayzgoose! Join us for the last event of this momentous day, featuring readings from two Gaspereau Press authors, Tammy Armstrong and Bren Simmers, and a Book Arts Talk by guest printer Larry Thompson.
Tammy Armstrong (Shag Harbour, NS). Tammy is a poet and novelist. Her poetry collections include Bogman’s Music (2002), Unravel (2004), Take Us Quietly (2006) and The Scare in the Crow (2010). Her new collection, Year of the Metal Rabbit, is being published by Gaspereau Press this fall.
Bren Simmers (Charlottetown, PEI). Bren is the author of two books of poetry, Night Gears (2010) and Hastings-Sunrise (2015), which was a finalist for the City of Vancouver Book Award. Her new book Pivot Point, an account of a wilderness canoe trip, is being published by Gaspereau Press this fall. www.brensimmers.com
Larry Thompson (The Greyweathers Press, Merrickville, Ontario). After studying English literature and working as a freelance writer and editor, Larry established his own press to produce limited edition letterpress books. He has published classical epics, medieval legend, the Romantic poets, fantasy literature and comic books. His most recent book is Ecclesiastes, which included over 50 of Larry’s illustrations. www.greyweatherspress.com
