Schedule of Events

Educational Displays, 10 am-4 pm (drop in) The Academy Gym. A wide variety of displays will be set up for you to
browse, discuss and ask questions.

Hands on Youth Activities, 10 am-4 pm (drop in) The Innovation Lab, accessed through the Library. Learn about renewable energy technologies using model technology including a solar panel, wind turbine, electrolyzer and hydrogen fuel cell, and a multi-energy powered car.

Electric vehicle test drives, 10 am-4 pm (sign up
on site) Ritchie St. near Library entrance. Test a 2019 Chevrolet Bolt or 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. Bring a valid drivers licence!

Free child minding, 10 am-4 pm (drop in) Library program room.
Do you have young children who are not quite
ready to appreciate the educational components of the event? Drop them off for supervised activities (parents must remain on-site).

Presentation schedule
Presentations will take place in the Community Room, accessed through the Library. Seating is limited, so we encourage advanced registration.

10 am- 12 pm, Solar Nova Scotia, "Demystifying solar electricity for Nova Scotia Homes". Have you been wondering if solar is right for you? Stuck on how to get started? This session will include everything from reasons to go solar, to designs/set-up. Questions and discussion encouraged.

12:30- 1:30 pm, Eddie and the Air Out There, Clean Foundation **Kid friendly Eddie is a loveable cat (puppet) and environmental superhero that is standing up for all
the critters of the world and the environment they live in. Through humour, rhymes and song, children learn the importance of energy and its conservation. Developed for grades P-5

1:30-2:15 pm, Efficiency Nova Scotia Home & Business Programs
Learn about the residential and business programs that can help you be more energy efficient. This includes free assessment programs and rebate opportunities.

2:30-3:30, PM Next Ride, Electric Vehicles
The Next Ride team is touring Nova Scotia to help Nova Scotians experience the excitement of an electric ride, and discover all the ways electric vehicles are more affordable and versatile than ever.
