This is a partnership between Digital Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Works - Kentville.
This is the first 2 modules of a 7 module program to increase the computer skills of Nova Scotians in order to increase confidence in the use of computers for day to day communication, community awareness and for job search.
These 2 sessions cover:
Intro to the Digital Age - you will begin to understand the role of computers in our world, the different types of devices available to us, and how they can help to connect us, using: email, instant messaging, and social media
Internet and Search - The internet gives us access to information and resources. Get to know the different kinds of internet browsers and search engines that will allow you to navigate the web with ease. Learn how to connect with wifi sources from laptops and mobile devices, and begin to use mobile applications.
