Come learn some basic sewing skills and help the environment with your reusable products. In the class you will make a reusable snack bag from cotton fabric, lunchbox napkins and makeup wipes to take home with you.

All tools and supplies will be provided, with an assortment of fabric prints you can pick and choose from. You are welcome to bring your sewing machine, if you have one. Otherwise there are machines available for use during the class.

This workshop is geared towards adults and older teens (16+).

About the Instructor:

Tanya Neary has always had a love for sewing (her high school graduation gift was a beautiful Singer sewing machine!) and is delighted to share her love of sewing and fabric with you!! Originally from the Valley, she now lives in Mount Uniacke with her husband and two kids. O Sweet Madeline launched in 2008 after watching Martha Stewart do a segment on felted sweaters. Nowadays she works mostly with cotton in all kinds of great prints. O Sweet Madeline offerings are a variety of sewn items including children's clothing, hair accessories and baby items and can be found in shops across the province.
