Neptune Canada: the world’s first multi-disciplinary, cabled, ocean observatory

Come and hear about Neptune Canada. This newly created ocean observatory stretches 800 km off Vancouver Island. Using continuous monitoring and archiving, scientists can now capture the temporal nature, characteristics, and linkages among natural processes in ways never before possible. Information is transmitted continuously from seafloor sites and made available freely to the world through the internet!
