Autumn Roots Workshop

Dig deep in your yard or by the wayside, and harvest the rhythms of autumn hidden within the roots of herbs. We will be learning about the medicinal and culinary uses of local roots, including instructions on making your own plant medicines and recipes.

Amanda Dainow has been studying, making and using Herbal Medicine for 7 years. She has been involved in every step of the process, from planting the herb seeds and watering them in a greenhouse, to transplanting them outdoors to receive direct sunlight and rain, to watching them grow and develop, to harvesting and transforming them into medicine. She is completing her degree as a Clinical Herbalist and a certificate in Holistic Care for Companion Animals. She offers Herbal Medicine consultations, Natural Animal Care consultations,and Reiki for animals and people. Phone consultations available. She offers public workshops on Herbal Medicine and Natural Care for Animals. She is on the Herbalist Association of Nova Scotia's (HANS) Board of Directors. She has a full dispensary.
