The Valley Regional Hospital Foundation (VRH) has announced their first ever virtual fundraiser. Harvest for Health will be a virtual series of cooking classes taught by renowned and local celebrity chefs. This year’s featured chefs are Chef Jason Lynch of Le Caveau; Chef Chris Pyne of Founders House; Chef Daniel Frank of Troy; and Chef Peter Dewar, Head of the Culinary Program at NSCC.
Each cooking class will feature 3 dishes, all using a key ingredient that can be sourced in the Annapolis Valley. Classes will be every Thursday night in November, and participants can sign up for one or more of the classes. If purchasing all four classes, a bonus episode will be released just in time for Christmas! The cooking classes will be available by sign-up only through the VRH Foundation’s website, starting on October 16th.
You will also get a copy of the cooking class the day after the class has been released.
Class roster:
November 5th - Chef Jason Lynch - featured ingredient; SQUASH
November 12th - Chef Peter Dewar - featured ingredients; CARROTS AND PEACHES
November 19th - Chef Daniel Franck - ALL THINGS ONION
November 26th - Chef Chris Pyne - ALL THINGS APPLES
100% of your ticket sale will go towards the purchase of a new piece of diagnostic imaging equipment, a C-Arm. The C-arm allows for live-time imaging during orthopedic surgeries, pacemaker insertions and some vascular exams. By providing surgeons with image guidance and immediate information on the placement of surgical implants, the entire surgical process is improved and patient safety is enhanced.
Join us for a series of delicious evenings from the comfort of your own home!
