Homemade Wigglebot (A First "Robot")
Thursday December 17, 2020  4pm - 5pm (1 Hour)
Workshop / Class Community

Join Alison to make your own robot, the "Wigglebot". Okay, so technically this is not a robot. It doesn’t have any sensors. It doesn’t have a controller or computer chip. It isn’t responding directly to external stimuli. But, hey, you have to start somewhere, and it is pretty cool. When complete, it will make some interesting patterns as it wiggles about. After you sign-up, we'll send everything you need to the AVRL branch of your choice for pickup before the class.
The kit includes: a disposable cup, electrical tape, 3 markers, a 2 "AAA" battery holder, 2 "AAA" batteries, a 1.5-3 V DC motor, clothespin, craft stick and googly eyes.
This is a live online program (using Zoom).
Open to ages 10 and up. Registration is limited. Sign-ups will close on December 10. Please indicate which branch you would like the kit sent to.
This will be a recorded event.
*The day before the event, you will receive information on how to join the Zoom meeting. You will require a computer, tablet, or smartphone with audio and video capabilities.
