Lecture / Seminar Community
STEM is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Through STEM, students develop key skills including: problem solving. creativity. critical analysis.
Canada has emerged as a world leader in many science, technology, engineering and math fields, and many new jobs and career opportunities that have emerged in recent years are STEM-related. As more and more businesses and organizations seek to innovate and to modernize and grow their businesses, the demand for people who can fill STEM-related jobs will only continue to increase.
Mashup Lab, in partnership with Sisters of Science, will be offering a Fireside Chat focused on female entrepreneurs and business leaders that have used STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in their business and how they've applied it in their careers.
This chat will also focus on inspiring youth to be innovative, challenge stereotypes and to motivate others. We will have Stacy Chesnutt from Sole Sisters Woman's Race Weekend and Girls Gone Gazelle Run Club join us to moderate the amazing group guest speakers we have planned for the event.
This event will be open to any student that would be interested in registering.
