As part of this 4-week hands-on class, you will learn rhythms and songs from West Africa, drumming techniques for playing the djembe (a goblet-shaped drum), as well as calls, breaks, and basic arrangements. You will play along with others.
Instruction provided by Bruno Allard with Djugdjug Ensemble. No prior experience is needed, and the class is for all levels. Drums (specifically djembes) are provided.
It starts Saturday afternoon, October 23 for a duration of 4 weeks.
