I am hosting a Stuff a shoe box drive.
These boxes will be to hand out to the homeless and needy in our community. My goal is 50 boxes.
What is good to put in these boxes?
There are a vast range of different things that can go in these boxes. Here is a list of examples:
For children:
2 toys: a teddy bear, jump rope, ball, game, puzzle, toy cars, any good stocking stuffer you can think of
Craft items: pencil crayons, craft kits, small play dough set, stickers, markers, notebook or sketch pad or both, tape, stick glue.
Children’s book (non controversial and not Christmas related so it’s good all year)
Personal Care: hair brush or comb, tooth brush and paste, bar of soap, gloves or mittens, wash cloth or shower pouf.
Other things like cute sunglasses, jewelry, hair clips, flashlights and other stocking stuffers.
Hats and mittens are welcome too.
For men:
Coffee mug (travel mug), reusable water bottle, juice, beef jerky, granola bars, chocolate treats, chips, mints, gum, toothpaste and brush, comb, socks, hat and gloves, little first aid kit, heat packs, tea, instant coffee, powder creamer, Tim Hortons card or other restaurant card, prepaid phone card, personal note, deodorant, soap, protein bars, kleenex, hand sanitizer, chap stick, wet wipes, sample size dish soap, and nice individual gifts.
These items can be dropped off at my stand in the Greenwood mall on Thursdays or at the Apple cider festival.
Can be multiple of one thing of a whole shoe box already filled. I am happy for any help.
Also if anyone wants to fill a box for women, I will gladly distribute it.
