Tin Banger-Joel Leblanc, Tom Easley, Mark Adam
(This write-up is courtesy of JazzEast in Halifax)
Three of Atlantic Canada's best jazz performers have formed a trio. Barriomatic Trust's Mark Adam and Hot Toddy's Joel LeBlanc and Tom Easley are making beautiful and unusual music together. With a percussionist/drummer that pushes possibilities of new realities until they are visible to all, a guitarist that gently drives melodies until the pleading search resolves and an upright bassist that knows how to support both partners until his own explorations lead to inspiration, Tin Banger was the perfect selection for the kick off of JazzEast's Out like a LION festival of music, film and exploration, and for its launch of a new monthly series, The New Standard.
