This workshop will help you understand what exactly a Board of Directors does and what the term ‘Board Governance’ really means? Topics will include: Board structures; Responsibilities of directors and how these differ from the role of paid staff; How Boards can be more effective in serving the organizations they support; Emerging trends in the voluntary sector that Boards should be aware of?
This workshop will be of interest to a wide audience including volunteers who have never served on a board, current board members wanting to improve their knowledge and boardroom skills, and staff who support boards in the voluntary sector looking to learn more about Board Governance in general.
