Event in Room: Basement Auditorium

Join Acadia University's Axe Radio as we watch Gimme Shelter (1970) in the KCIC Basement Auditorium.

The Altamont Speedway Free Concert of December 1969 is known as one of the most devastating nights in music history. With an estimated 300,000 attendees and the Hells Angels as security, the night of free music quickly took a turn for the worst. Gimme Shelter documents the night through the eyes of the Rolling Stones.

This event is free and open to all. Note that this documentary depicts tragic events and violence.
