The thermal bathing cycle promotes deep relaxation as you alternate between warming up, cooling down, and restoring in between.
Sessions are 90 minutes.
A host is available to guide an opening, help you get comfortable and answer any questions.
The changing area and washroom facilities are located indoors. The sauna and thermal cycle take place outdoors. We are not yet wheelchair accessible.
The heat ranges between 75 – 90C on the high seating, 60 – 75C on the lower seating. The humidity (steam) ranges between 40-80%. Cooling options are available both inside and outside of the sauna. Earlier sessions are less hot than the later sessions.
Natural plant essences are infused in the sauna as an aromatherapeutic offering that enhances health benefits.
The sauna comfortably holds up to 10 adults.
Family-friendly times are contained to the mingler session at 330pm.
Recommendations for what to bring: natural material clothing like cotton or linen so the body can sweat and breathe comfortably, t-shirts, shorts, yoga wear, bathing suit, or towel wrap with shorts.
Bring your own towels – two are recommended. One body length to sit on and one to dry yourself with.
Bring a water bottle/cup to hydrate and a bag for your damp items.
You are encouraged to bring a snack if your blood sugar levels get low. We are a non-profit organization with a mission of offering the health benefits of thermal cycling (hot/cold exposure) to anyone who may experience barriers to this health practice in a community setting.
