The Lucky Stars 4H Club, friends and family are having a Hip of Beef Buffet fundraising supper for Valerie Delong. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, homemade apple or rhubarb crisp for dessert.
Buy tickets at Annavale co-op, Middleton, Lawrencetown or Kingston Pharmasave or a family member. Good for either sit down or take out.
Valerie DeLong is the 16 year old daughter of Kerwin & Karen DeLong of Melvern Square and the granddaughter of Lloyd & Carolyn Crawford of Victoria Vale and Earle & Fran DeLong of Chester. Valerie was born with Cerebral Palsy and has had several operations to help her walk. This summer she will be traveling to Ontario for the month of July to attend the Strive Learning Centre’s summer therapy session. The cost is $6,000.00 plus airfare. Our goal is to strengthen Valerie’s legs enough that she will not need her leg braces and to increase her balance to be able to walk with a cane instead of the walker and give her more independence.
