Join us for an evening of great music, laughs, snacks--and more--as CentreStage Theatre presents the music of Maurice LeClair and Ray Balcom, followed by a musical performance by celebrated performer Chris Ricketts.
Coming from Annapolis Royal, the duo --Livin' the Dream--- sing sea shanties, folk songs and songs of the sea. They are known all over Nova Scotia and the Fundy Shanty Festival in New Brunswick.
Internationally acclaimed 21st century sea shanty singer Chris Ricketts returns with an album of shanties and self-penned songs called 'Songs in the Key of Sea'. Widely loved, this album re-booted Chris' love of performing and writing. As well as performing in the UK, Chris has appeared in top folk and shanty festivals in Canada, France, Germany, and Poland. He mastered his craft working cruise ships after being a semi-finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards. Now a touring musician and teacher in secondary schools, Chris' passion for performing allows him to travel the world with his songs and traditional shanties.
