"Advanced Treatments in Epilepsy - Options beyond drugs and surgery", a presentation by Cameron Finlay.
Epilepsy is a seizure disorder, and is the fourth most common neurological affliction in North America. One in 26 people will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime. Significant improvements in treatment have been made over the past two decades incorporating technologies far beyond medications. This presentation aims to provide the layperson with greater awareness of the disorder known as epilepsy, the standard and advanced treatments available, and why the discovery of a ‘cure’ is so elusive.
