"Designing Canada's Postage Stamps", a presentation by Steven Slipp.
From Bishop Charles Inglis to Margaret Atwood - how are subjects for stamps decided? What is the process for designing and approving stamps? What are the hidden security provisions built into every stamp issue?
Graphic designer Steven Slipp of Wolfville will give a behind-the-scenes illustrated talk on how these pieces of commemorative Canadian currency come to be. He has designed over 25 commemorative and definitive stamps in his 50 year career, served on the national Stamp Advisory Committee for three terms, and was Atlantic Regional Design Manager for a decade.
