In terms of a tournament, it's quite informal -- fantastic for beginners and the experienced alike. We will be using standard tournament rules to resolve disputes (which will be posted).
You can pre-register at Kentville Chess meetings, or register on the day of the event.
Time: Registration at 5:30pm, Start at 6pm, End at 8pm
Time controls: 5 minutes per side
Cash prizes for winners (dependent on the number of registrants), with additional cash prizes generously donated by Noypi Filipino-Asian Store and The Border restaurant. We will also have a draw for a Maritime Express Cider Company gift certificate, open to all tournament entrants.
ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS WELCOME! No memberships required. Kentville Chess will calculate and keep local ratings for all players in the event.
Maritime Express Cider Co. has graciously offered $1 off ciders if you bring a chess clock.
