This February, Les Misérables School Edition will come to life on the Horton High School stage, showcasing the talent and dedication of our young performers, with support from a collaborative team of educators, actors, and musicians. This adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical is presented in partnership with Avon View High School, Quick As A Wink Theatre Society, and Acadia University.
Featuring a cast comprised entirely of students, this production will bring youthful energy to Victor Hugo's story. The production will also draw on the expertise of Acadia University faculty, students, and alumni, Quick As A Wink Theatre Society board members, volunteers, and other members of our vibrant valley community.
Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Les Misérables School Edition tells the powerful story of Jean Valjean, a former prisoner who rebuilds his life while being relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, his story explores themes of revolution, redemption, and resilience.
Les Misérables School Edition is rated PG for mature themes and some strong language. Viewer discretion is advised.
