The Acadia University Wind Ensemble and the 14 Wing Brass and Reed Band will present a concert in memory of a player who passed away a year ago. James Sotvedt (1944-2024). Jim made a significant contribution to the success of both bands over almost two decades, and their performance will be dedicated to his memory.
Also on this program, Acadia University music student Dylan Rutledge will perform Gustav Mahler's "Songs of a Wayfarer" on tuba. This concert closes with a rare performance of Modest Mussorgsky's evocative masterpiece, "Pictures at an Exhibition".
Admission is by freewill donation at the door.
