The Kentville Farmers Market is held in Centre Square each summer season from Mid May to Mid October. This is a cooperative effort between the Town and the Market Board. Once we pull anchor from Centre Square in autumn, we set up in the Kentville Rec Centre on Main Street. No matter where you find us, we guarantee you a safe and accessible environment and friendly vendors with a welcoming smile.
Our vendors are local farmers and artisans. Each farmer is dedicated to bringing you freshly harvested produce (most of which is grown free of spray), eggs gathered from pastured chickens, and meats from pastured animals who are killed in as stress free an environment as possible. These farmers have a strong ethical compass and are compassionate about providing a high quality product.
Our artisans are local community members who carefully craft soaps, jewelry, knitted toys, art works, pottery and other items for children and adults alike. Our bakers produce breads from ancient grains and sourdoughs as well as pastries and other treats too numerous to mention! Hot and cold drinks and international foods are made with you in mind. Local musicians keep us all entertained.
The Market is proud to be a member of Farmers Markets of Nova Scotia. This has allowed us to participate in local food security programs and participate in opportunities to serve you even better.
