Al appeals to many musical tastes and his love of music is evident in the way that he performs.
He recently celebrated 50 years as a solo performer in which he toured the Maritimes and parts of Ontario. His accomplishments include 44 TV appearances,
(including Tommy Hunter show), several recording sessions, (including two in Nashville), winner of New Brunswick Contemporary Song Writing contest in 1988, winner of male country artist at the New Brunswick Francophone Awards in 1990 and induction into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame in 2009.
