Musique Royale is delighted to feature the Quebec-based ensemble ArtChoral as part of their 40th Summer Festival. St. John's is excited to welcome them to our historic church.
This concert is entitled "Se l'aura spira" (If the air breathed), and is taken from the irresistible baroque song by Girolamo Frescobaldi, with repertoire spanning from the medieval and baroque periods to present day. It is inspired by nature and the elements, including works by JS Bach, Monteverdi, John Dowland, Purcell, and some popular surprises too.
