The Borealis Chamber Choir is pleased to present Currents, a program centred on the movement of water, people, and ideas. Audiences will hear stories of displacement and migration through repertoire speaking to the experiences of Asian and Middle Eastern experiences, as well as through the lens of the impact of climate change. We will explore the need for empathy and healing through these experiences, and end with hope that empathy, unity, and community can continue the path to better things. The program is largely composed of Nova Scotian premieres, continuing Borealis’s commitment to hearing new voices. This concert will be led by co-conductors Thomas Burton and Amelia McMahon and also feature string players from the Blue Engine String Quartet.

A limited number of tickets will also be available to purchase at the door, with a Pay-What-You-Can option for those that require accessible pricing.
