Laura Roy is a Canadian artist, musician, and Grammy-nominated songwriter originally from Canning, Nova Scotia. Her music blends soulful melodies and introspective songwriting with contemporary folk influences. A graduate of the NSCC Music Arts program, Laura spent years honing her songwriting craft through writing camps across the country with the Songwriters Association of Canada and as a returning participant in the prestigious Gordie Sampson Songwriting Camp. Since relocating to London, UK in 2017 to further her musical career, Laura has built an impressive international profile. She has toured globally as a backing vocalist for major acts and collaborated with artists such as Sabrina Carpenter (Wembley Stadium and BBC Live Lounge), JP Cooper (World Tour 2024), and Dua Lipa. Now a 2x ECMA Award-winning artist, Laura recently returned home to Nova Scotia to record new music, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a fresh creative perspective. With her soulful sound and impactful storytelling, she continues to establish herself as a standout voice in contemporary music.
