Enjoy a free afternoon of live music in the park.
The music opens alongside the Smudge ceremony, led by Cristian Quirivan of Rad News Bears, playing peaceful instrumental Andean music to start. Then Rad News Bears take the stage in full, bringing the raw energy, bold riffs, and all-original sound that makes this Annapolis Valley trio fun to watch.
Things shift gears for an afternoon song circle: "Soul and Story", featuring Joce Reyome, Rob Lutes, and Adrian Sutherland. Rooted in blues and built on story, the circle brings together Reyome's raw, powerhouse vocals steeped in soul and rock's wild spirit, Lutes' fingerstyle blues and folk woven through with the history behind every song, and Sutherland's blend of roots, rock, and blues shaped by the land and language of his Cree culture. Three artists with songs that carry as much heart as history.
The afternoon closes out with Wolfville's own A Band Called Tim, bringing their down-home hillbilly power-pop to send everyone off in high spirits.
Please note: this concert is being filmed for the sixth season of Eastlink TV's Atlantic Notes. By attending, you may appear incidentally in the broadcast footage.
