Shiny Happy People – A Tribute to R.E.M.
What do Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and Coldplay have in common? All cite the band R.E.M. as a formative influence. Originally from Athens, Georgia, R.E.M.’s debut album Murmur was hailed by Rolling Stone Magazine as the #1 album of 1983 (#2 was Thriller). They would go on to achieve worldwide fame with their iconic albums Out of Time and Automatic for the People. Valley musicians Jeff Hennessy, Nicholas D’Amato, Noah Scanlan, and Alec Bloch pay tribute to R.E.M. with some special guests.
