The Wolfville Queer Community Choir is a multi-generational group of singers from the 2SLGBTQ+ community who gather each week to make music and connect with one another. We are always happy to welcome new members and encourage folks with any singing experience and all ages to join. This choir is a queer space. Please contact Music In Communities with questions: [email protected]
We are excited to welcome Lisandre Chrétien as our new director this fall. Our choir director and proud member of the community, Lisandre comes from a jazz background, with a major in jazz vocals and a minor in jazz trombone. She is now pursuing her studies in Music Therapy, where her main focus is to help others express and understand themselves by exploring their inner-selves. Lisandre wishes to create a space for safe self and creative expression, where people from the queer community will have the opportunity to meet, have fun, share, and make music together. She will lead with the focus not on performance, but on exploring our abilities as a group, always putting equality, respect and openness first.
Scholarships available for those on a tighter budget. Get in touch - we want you to come sing!
