The Acadia School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents a performance by the Blackwood Trio: Jeff Reilly, Peter-Anthony Togni, and India Gailey.
The Blackwood Trio will present works from their last two albums: "Passages" and "Lost and Found". They will also play works from their upcoming album "The Thin Veil", scheduled for release in the spring of 2026. Blackwood’s unique, dark and lyrical sound has the precision and clarity found in any classical ensemble, but also taps into the expressive freedom found in the improvisational gestures of contemporary jazz. Juno nominees Jeff Reilly (bass clarinet), Peter-Anthony Togni (piano/organ) and India Gailey (cello) explore plainchant, European jazz and contemporary classical techniques, developing a deep musical connection to create music that critics have called “sonically haunting”.
